“ The most authentic restaurant of our Italian travels. Fabulous dishes that get at the heart of Venice. Exceptional service. ”
“ We had a really great dinner experience here. Do not expect fine dining or even something that is tourist tailored. This is genuine, warm, clumsy at times but always well intended and with a service that makes up for a lot. We had good food, reasonable wine, two power outages, and most importantly a really nice evening with pasta, dessert, atmosphere. What we had come looking for. Go here instead of the tourist restaurants 250 meters closer to the grand canal. There’s a canal here as well. And more of everything. ”
“ Quiet, cozy trattoria by the canal, owner was lovely and food was amazing. House wine was surprisingly good, and the catch of the day was very tasty. ”
“ We had dinner here on our first night in Venice, it was across from our hotel qnd seemed like a nice place. The side is blocked by the water bus stop so the sight is not as nice as could be, although still generally romantic. The service was attentive and quick, they unfortunately do not serve tap water and we were made to order bottled water instead, but it wasn’t too much of a hassle. The meal itself was good enough, the seafood pasta is particularly good. The cuttlefish polenta was different, it was still good but not too engaging. The least satisfactory dish however, was the pasta of the day dish, which this time was sea bass with a pistachio based sauce. It fell quite a bit short and was bland to the taste. The pasta dishes range from 20-25 euros, while the larger main courses are 25-35. Entrees will be around 15-20 mostly. Overall a satisfactory meal, although I wouldn’t rank it too spectacular. ”
“ Great little restaurant on the canal. Area was under construction but didn't take away from the ambiance. Service was prompt and helpful and the daily special (pasta with fish and pistachio) was the highlight of the meal. Reasonably priced for being in the canal. Go for the house wine! ”
